The adult

by the University of Pittsburgh entitled, I Can Quit.
This multi-session program is designed to help participants
stop smoking by providing them with all the essential information
and strategies needed to direct their own efforts at stopping.
This course can be taught at your work or meeting place.
|
A
different cessation program is offered to those in middle
or high school. The Tobacco Awareness Program (TAP) is a comprehensive
tobacco cessation curriculum developed specifically for the
adolescent population addressing both smoking and smokeless
tobacco use. The program consists of 8, one-hour adult led
sessions designed for small groups of 8-12 adolescents who
want to quit using tobacco. |
The
TAP curriculum guides tobacco users to their quit date and
helps them remain tobacco-free/ It takes into account the
fact that participants begin, continue, and decide to quit
using tobacco, for a wide variety of reasons. The TAP curriculum
encourages each person to choose the methods of cessation
they believe will work best for them.
Tobacco education
programs are also available to any age group. Presentations
have been developed for preschoolers up to adultss and can
be tailored to fit the needs of your particular group. For
further information on any of the tobacco programs, please
