Fees have been set at $20.00 per hour, with a minimum charge of $10.00, for research conducted in this office. All copy charges are $.25/page. Includes microfilm, computer printer and copier. EFFECTIVE FEBRUARY 1, 2003, BY RESOLUTION OF THE WAYNE COUNTY, NEW YORK, BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, A $10.00 DEPOSIT MUST ACCOMPANY ALL RESEARCH REQUESTS. WE WILL ANSWER GENERAL QUESTIONS VIA EMAIL OR TELEPHONE, BUT CAN NO LONGER ACCEPT RESEARCH REQUESTS VIA EMAIL OR TELEPHONE. There will be no charge (other than copy costs) to researchers who conduct their own research at our office or to residents of Wayne County, NY. Although we are not sufficiently staffed to conduct extensive research, we will try to answer specific questions from public records available in our office. If you wish us to proceed with the research, please fill out the form at the bottom of this page and return with deposit to the Office of the County Historian, 9 Pearl Street, Suite 3, Lyons, NY 14489. Make checks out to: Wayne County Treasurer. We will try to respond to all requests as soon as possible after receipt of authorization to conduct the search. Upon receipt of your authorization to proceed with your research request, we will conduct your search. We will then invoice you for the cost of the search, less deposit, and hold information until we receive your payment. Please include your mailing address with your authorization so that we can mail copies of information that we find. Thank you.
